Research Across Disciplines

"One of our high level goals as part of the UTS2027 strategy is to work collaboratively, knitting together our various expertise in order to address the important challenges we face in today's world, with creativity and sophistication."

Prof. Noel Castree, FASS Associate Dean of Research.

UTS is launching two new canvas courses to help facilitate these new ways of working.

These courses will provide tips, tricks and guiding frameworks to help researchers understand and work collaboratively across disciplines. By completing the courses, you will have learnt from the unique stories of UTS researchers and HDR students who have partnered internally as well as externally to deliver outcomes of the highest standards.

Team Research Across the Disciplines 1 - An Introduction

  • The course is suitable for HDR students and staff at all career stages.

Team Research Across the Disciplines 2 - How do you do it?

These were produced as part of the HASS-STEM integration initiative in the UTS 2027 strategy sponsored by FASS Dean Professor Alan Davison.

The structure and content were devised by FASS ADR Professor Noel Castree, Dr. Keith Heggart (School of International Studies and Education) and Dr. Martin Bliemel (TD School), with support from Senior Learning Designer Amy Cotton.
