The Collaboration Scheme’s purpose is to enhance opportunities for cross-disciplinary research and collaboration. The scheme will support collaborative projects that may include partnerships between researchers within and outside of UTS leading to future applications for external funding (such as through ARC schemes, Category 2 grants etc.) and/or clearly defined research outputs. The scheme will provide opportunity and support to our researchers across all faculties to undertake innovative multidisciplinary research work.
To prepare an application for this funding, applicants should consider the following:
- UTS scholars and external organisations (if relevant) involved in the partnership/collaboration,
- The nature of the collaboration (new/ongoing),
- How the proposed project will be leveraged into a future application for external funding,
- Whether any publications can be expected prior to or in addition to the funding application,
- The different ways they can use funds to foster collaborations that would not otherwise be possible with existing resources and networks
- Use the Collaborator Finder tool to assist building cross-faculty teams.
- Other UTS Faculties/Unit/Schools who can engage as applications with more than two Faculties within UTS are considered favourably keeping in mind that the contribution of each researcher must be clearly articulated.
