Media and Communications Unit
The Media and Communication Unit assists researchers to respond to media enquiries and prepare for interviews. The team can also assist with drafting a media release and promoting significant UTS achievements to the media.
Participate in online media skills training modules to discover topics such as understanding what makes news, identifying target audiences, using social media and developing a communication plan.

PhD supervision support
Higher Degree Student (HDR) supervisors are required to adhere to protocols as they develop the next generation of researchers and educators at UTS. To supervise HDR students, you must also complete the module Graduate research supervision at UTS
Registered supervisors are expected to continue developing their knowledge, skills and capabilities to the satisfaction of the Responsible Academic Officer of their Faculty.
UTS Advancement Office
Responsible for managing philanthropic funding for UTS, the UTS Advancement Office (Trusts & Foundations) connects researchers and university leadership with the philanthropic community to coordinate long term partnerships.
Indigenous education and research
The Jumbunna Institute for Indigenous Education and Research aims to produce the highest quality research on Indigenous legal and policy issues and to develop highly skilled Indigenous researchers.

Technical resources
UTS has world class fabrication and digital labs that are available to researchers including the Data Arena, Tech Lab, Rapido and Protospace.
The Faculty of Design Architecture and Building (DAB) also offers fabrication workshops, a makerspace, sewing, textile and print workshops, a knit lab and digital studios. Each lab is supported by expert teams providing technical support.
