Part of the UTS Finance Unit, the Research Finance team is responsible for providing financial services which support the achievement of the financial performance to achieve the UTS Research Strategy. The team can assist you to prepare a project budget for externally funded research projects and manage any finances issues associated with your grant throughout the project lifecycle.
It’s essential that you cost out your budget fairly and accurately and understand the true cost of your research – including administration, overheads and all the non-salary and resourcing costs that need to be addressed to deliver a project.
The Research Finance Toolkit provides a wealth of information including how to use the Costing and Pricing Tool in ResearchMaster. This tool identifies all aspects of a budget that need to be addressed and provides UTS researchers with an integrated, standardised cost model for research. The Research Costing Overview is useful in helping you become familiar with the finance requirements relating to external funding.
