About us

RES Hub is the Research Excellence Support Hub at UTS. We aim to be your trusted partner and source of support when it comes to navigating research at UTS. We work across the research community to support research practice, projects, and collaborations. We are a vehicle to transform research expertise into digital content and a natural destination to gather and host research activity. 

Starting as a DVCR strategic initiative launched in 2019, RES Hub was conceived to be a way station for all parties to the UTS research network—those being, UTS Researchers, UTS professional staff, HDR staff and students and external partners.

On-campus Location

RES Hub is located at UTS Central on Level 5 in Building 2 (CB02.05.250), adjacent to the UTS Reading Room.It has become a natural destination for networking events, launches and community celebrations for the UTS research community as a meeting place for collaborators, external partners and professional staff.

  • Events: A 40-seat hybrid event and seminar space supported by state-of-the-art technology.
  • Meet: An 8-seat meeting room that supports virtual calls and meetings.
  • Studio: A specialised purpose-built self-recording audio and video studio for up to 4 people.
  • Co-work: Workstations to meet, discuss and collaborate with colleagues and research partners.

To book any of the facilities at RES Hub, simply email us with a booking request.

Be sure to include the preferred date and time, the purpose of your booking, which space best suits your needs and any other details which might be helpful to us. Within 2 business days, we will reply to confirm selections, help with any queries and lock in your booking. On occasion, we might not be able to assure your preferred date/time. If this is the case, we will work to find an alternative date/time that suits you.

Acknowledgement of Country

RES Hub acknowledges and pays respect to the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation, the Boorooberongal people of the Dharug Nation, the Bidiagal people and the Gamaygal people, upon whose ancestral lands where UTS now stands.

We pay respect to their Elders; past, present, emerging and future as the traditional custodians of Country and knowledge for this land. We recognise their continued connection to the land and waters and the continuation of their cultural, spiritual, and educational practices. We extend this respect to all Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples who visit RES Hub.

As a place for the UTS community to connect and collaborate, RES Hub acknowledges the long-standing traditional practices of these communities in gathering to share experience, knowledge, and history. RES Hub acknowledges that sovereignty was never ceded. This is and always will be Aboriginal Land.
