The UTS Disability Access and Inclusion Fund is an internal initiative developed to support UTS researchers in enhancing the inclusivity and accessibility of their research practices, projects and outputs for people with disabilities.
This funding is available to all UTS researchers and has been created to cover the specific costs of doing research that meaningfully includes and engages the disabled community. The initiative is sponsored by the DVCR and has been developed with the generous support of the UTS Disability Research Network.
These funds enable the material participation and input of the disabled community in research through contributing to the design process of grant applications, participating in research teams as investigators, researchers, or consultants and increasing the accessibility and availability of research outputs (e.g., purchasing of accessibility software, the arrangement of AUSLAN translations and/or closed captions on outputs, increasing the dissemination and source availability of research outputs).
