Non-for-profit and philanthropic organisations often provide different types of funding for research using grants, schemes and awards. This includes groups like charities, foundations, endowments, trusts as well as non-governmental organisations (NGO) who operate in the social support sector

UTS Advancement Office

The UTS Advancement Office (Trusts & Foundations) in conjunction with the UTS Research Office manage philanthropic funding for UTS. Each year, the Trusts and Foundations Team applies for and is successful in receiving a number of philanthropic grants. Trusts and foundations often have defined grant rounds, where they specify what they are interested in, when to apply and how much you are likely to receive.

Their expertise in this area connects researchers, university leadership and the philanthropic community, to coordinate long term partnerships and secure multi-year support for important areas of work. Before applying for funding or approaching funders in this area, it is strongly recommended to contact the UTS Advancement Office.
