Collaborator Finder
Collaborator Finder is a web tool designed by UTS to help academics grow, shape, and build their careers through identifying collaboration opportunities in their networks. It allows you to search multiple UTS sources of data, collated in one easy-to-use interface using Power BI.
Use Collaboration Finder to:
- Search for collaborators based on project and publication details.
- Explore potential co-investigators for funding based on income categories.
- Search for potential co-authors based on publication data.
- Explore potential collaborations within the UTS network.
Access
UTS Professional and Academic Staff. Use your UTS Staff ID and password to login.
Using Collaborator Finder
- Source systems for Collaborator Finder include NEO, Research Master and Symplectic. Confidential data is excluded from the Tool.
- Any modern browser should work well with Collaborator Finder, such as Safari, Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome. Collaborator Finder has been optimised for desktop monitors and is best viewed with a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080.
- Helpful information is available from within Collaborator Finder. Look for the 'About' , 'Find Out More' and 'Accessibility' pages. A Glossary (in Data Hub) has been provided and is accessed within Collaborator Finder. For more helpful user tips, look up UTS’ Power BI user guide. (This link requires a UTS ID to access).
Troubleshooting
If you are unable successfully access Collaborator Finder check you are using the recommended compatible browser (Chrome) and that your internet connection is strong and stable. Ensure you have used the correct UTS ID and password to login. If you are both a UTS Staff Member and Student, try to log in with the alternative details.
UTS MyAccount allows you to change your password and security questions. If you would like to change your password or security questions, go to MyAccount, log in and follow the prompts. If you need to reset your password, read the full instructions and use the UTS Password Reset self-service.
If issues persist, log an IT ServiceConnect ticket. Be sure to include the error message you are receiving so IT can investigate.
