Using Scopus
Getting Started
- You are able to browse Scopus freely using the UTS Library subscriptions, but to review your Scopus profile, save searches, setg up email alerts or to access SciVal you will need to register for a free account using your UTS email address.
- CiteScore, SJR (SCImago Journal Rank) and SNIP (Source normalised impact per publication) are the journal indicators used in Scopus. More information can be found from UTS Library Website.

Scopus Author ID
- You can find your Scopus author ID from your Scopus profile.
- Login to Scopus
- Use Author Search
- Select your name from the list of authors
- Your author ID will be listed under your name.
- If there are multiple author matches for your name, merge them together by clicking on the Request to Merge Authors link. If there are no matches for your name, try searching with name variants or other options such as ORCID. If your publications have not been indexed by Scopus you will not have an assigned Author ID.
Troubleshooting
If you are unable successfully access Scopus check you are using the recommended compatible browser (Chrome) and that your internet connection is strong and stable. Ensure you have used the correct UTS ID and password to login. If you are both a UTS Staff Member and Student, try to log in with the alternative details.
UTS MyAccount allows you to change your password and security questions. If you would like to change your password or security questions, go to MyAccount, log in and follow the prompts. If you need to reset your password, read the full instructions and use the UTS Password Reset self-service.
If issues persist, log an IT ServiceConnect ticket. Be sure to include the error message you are receiving so IT can investigate.
