UTS staff and collaborators are invited to discover the future of innovation by joining a walking tour of Sydney’s exciting new Tech Central precinct.

“The Tech Central Walking Tour is an insider’s guide to Australia’s leading innovation district,” said Matthew Proft, Director Precincts in the UTS Office of the Vice-Chancellor.
“Located in the heart of Sydney, Tech Central is where cutting-edge technology, research excellence, and creative industries converge. Our guided walking tour offers a ground-level look at this thriving precinct, featuring transformative architecture, pioneering startups, university partnerships, and bold urban design.”
Whether you're a visitor, founder, student, team member, investor, or simply curious, don’t miss the chance to experience how the Tech Central Innovation District is shaping the future of innovation in Sydney.
The tour begins at the iconic UTS Tower and takes you through Ultimo, Chippendale, Central Station, Surry Hills, and ends in Haymarket. Along the way, you will hear the stories of the people, ideas and companies that power this vibrant ecosystem.
Each tour concludes at Stone and Chalk where participants are invited to join the standing innovation community networking event, Chalk Chills.
"The Tech Central Walking tour was truly impactful, connecting with great people from across our community,” said founder Bonny Morlak.

Tech Central Walking Tours run every second Thursday at 3pm, with the next scheduled on Thursday 10 July 2025.
