UTS Research Café is an open invitation fortnightly event held at RES Hub.  It's an opportunity to begin conversations - whether it be exchanging ideas, discussing potential research collaborations, finding out about the range of current and future research initiative, getting updates from colleagues on new ways of working or celebrating hard fought achievements.

Who should attend?

Hosted by PVC (Research) Prof Chris Turney, the Research Café is for all UTS staff, academics, researchers and HDR students who are passionate about, engage in, coordinate, manage, support and/or conduct research. To be added to the reoccurring Outlook Calendar invite for 2024, get in touch by email.

Would you like to present at the Research Café?

Got a story to share? Looking for collaborators? Offering a funding tip, research training experience or networking opportunity?

The fortnightly Research Café hosted by Prof Chris Turney has an emphasis on:

  1. sharing info that has the potential to help others create impact from UTS Research
  2. creating a regular, welcoming space for connection and real conversations.

To enable ample time for research networking, we ask that you keep your presentation short and sharp – one slide and no more than 1-2 minutes per person.

Interested?

Drop us a line to REShub@uts.edu.au and tell us in no more than a sentence or two:

  • what your research, collaboration or training opportunity is about
  • who would be presenting
  • how your experience or offering may help others achieve impact at UTS
  • why you’d encourage colleagues to come along and find out more!
