Effective research communication is key to building an external presence.
Research communication is one of the pillars of the UTS Research Outcomes Capability Framework.
“The practices outlined in this Capability enable people to come to you and have an understanding of who you are and where you are coming from," says Research Impact Facilitator Catherine McElhone.
They include knowledge of different approaches to communicating, disseminating and promoting research outcomes, ability to tailor research communication to target diverse audiences and use media skills and teh confidence to engage with different research communication channels.
Think about what your impact has been and what others would find exciting about your research.
“When you can get people excited about the work you are doing, they will engage on some level,” she said.
