As a UTS researcher seeking resources and training that are appropriate for the current stage in your academic journey, you’ve come to the right place!
Supporting your research journey with UTS

- For those starting their PhD or M. Research adventure, your primary point of contact for training and development opportunities is the UTS Graduate Research School whose programs are especially tailored for current higher degree research candidates.
- As you continue your research journey with UTS, there are many other programs that support your learning needs, underpinned by the Research Outcomes Capability Framework (ROC-F).
- UTS Aspire offers a broad range of in-person and self-paced training and development programs.
- Browse the self-paced training page to find programs you can complete online.
- For mid-career researchers, the MCR Capability Development Initiative is a competitive scheme that supports a small cohort to develop their research capabilities, enabling them to raise their research profile and thrive in their careers.
Awardees develop up to two self-selected ROCF capability areas through a self-devised capability development plan. A budget of up to $20,000 may be requested to support these activities.
Attend the MCR Capability Development Initiative information session: 1pm - 2pm, Mon 17 February at RES Hub
- Find other mentoring and development opportunities for Early and Mid-Career researchers here.
