UTS supports the creation of a high-performing, talent-based research culture so that our people—academics and professional staff at UTS—are able to draw on capabilities in creative, professional and entrepreneurial practice to enhance the relationship between academic research programmes and transformation of practice.

Knowledge of:

• Creative, professional and entrepreneurial approaches and practices, and their integration into research design and translation. 
• Knowledge of ‘Human-centred’ research methods and practices. 
• The breadth of legal considerations and requirements to manage intellectual property and commercialisation.
• Methods to evaluate research performance and impact, and to design research projects to scale impact.
• The UTS creative, professional and entrepreneurial communities.

Ability to:

• Identify and act on opportunities for collaboration, funding and engagement.
• Prioritise and plan research programs within internal research groups and external partners.
• Pitch to various stakeholders e.g. academic, government, policy-makers, industry-funders; the public, community, media mainstream.
